Goods for examination must be produced by the importer or the importer's agent at prescribed places during the normal working hours. Examination is carried out in the presence of the importer or the importer's agent. He/she will be responsible for opening, weighting, sorting and marking of goods and all other necessary operations as directed by the Customs Officer.
Examination is carried out to the satisfaction of the Customs Officer. He/she may, as his/her duty requires, take samples of any goods or cause such goods to be detained.
